As a figurative sculptor I take my inspiration from the grace and dynamics of the body and the abundant variety of form found in nature.Subject personality and behaviour play an important part in my work and observation is a key component in determining expression.
I work initially in clay which gives me the freedom to explore and change my ideas and adds spontaneity to the final pose. From the clay I then cast into foundry bronze, resin recycled glass, or cement. I am constantly exploring new media to keep my work fresh and exciting.
